Brought up in the village. Family still live there.

Went to Richmond School.

I'm now living in Stockton-on-Tees and am Chartered Engineer working for a US software company and although I've always been interested in history I've left it to my son, Jack, to take history really seriously (he's doing a PhD in History in Newcastle). We also have a daughter, Ellissa, who is about to go off to University in Leeds and that will leave just my wife, Tracy, and our rescued greyhound, Bella, at home.

. When not working and creating web sites, much of my spare time is spent racing Dragon Boats (just google it) and I was in the GB senior team that won bronze at the world championships in Canada.
