My Father often gives me bundles of old papers to look through. In the latest bundle were 3 old copies of the "Richmond West Deanery Magazine". I found them pretty interesting as they contain lots of advertisements and a lot of little details about village life (as well as stories and articles).
The three magazines are from 1922, 1948 and 1951 - so a fair spread across 30 years and the oldest one being 99 years old.
I've just reproduced the oldest one (before it falls completely to bits) and its now published on the Booklets page (scroll to the bottom). I hope to get to the others in the next week or two.
In other news ... I've been contacted by someone in Australia about an amazing connection to Brompton-on-Swale from 200 years ago. More on that in the coming weeks.
