Heroes one and all

Today's update adds two more stories to the War Memorial page. Robert Jewitt, married my great Aunt Lillie Hodgson, but died in the chaotic retreat towards the French coast in 1940, He is buried in a small French village along with a comrade who died on the same day.

Harold Lyth, died in Plymouth after an air raid. Not as an innocent victim of that raid, but heroically trying to defuse a bomb, a member of the elite bomb disposal teams of the Royal Engineers.
