The First Eleven

Eleven men who gave their lives in the Great War are remembered on the Brompton-on-Swale war memorial. With the stories of Robert Simpson (10th Green Howards) and Walter Smales (10th Lancashire Fusiliers - who lost his life just a couple of months before the armistice) now added to the site, all their stories are available here. The eleven who gave their lives in WW2 will be added over the next few weeks. All their stories will be available by 11th November.
